PRODUCTION PLANNER - MANUFACTURING ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Plans and releases shop orders to the manufacturing floor. · Tracks and moves open shop orders to ensure that product flow supports production schedule. · Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules in reaction to unforeseen conditions. · Closes shop orders as product completes production cycle. · Responsible for assisting the Production Supervisor in improving the product flow between departments on the manufacturing floor. · Works closely with Production Supervisor regarding scheduling, obtaining materials and communicating between work areas. · Works closely with Sales staff, provides updates of product completion as requested. · Responsible for supplemental changes, ECM paperwork changes on the manufacturing floor. · Provides back up for the Production Planning Lead as needed. · Performs other tasks as assigned.
